US Coast Guard Licensed and Insured
I grew up boating and fishing in south Florida, then moved north and west to the Arctic in the 1980s. For the past 35 years, I have been living and boating in Kotzebue in northwest Alaska. I love to get out on the water and am Coast Guard licensed to take up to six passengers in my boat. I run a custom-built 23′ dory style boat, one that is well suited for safely traveling over the sometimes choppy waters of Kotzebue Sound.
I enjoy boating throughout the Kotzebue Sound area and have a cabin on a tributary of the Noatak River that was built with the help of family and friends. When not on the water, I am often building my next boat, working on improvements to the cabin, or exploring with Zonk, my black lab.
If you are looking for an off-the-grid travel adventure in Alaska’s Northwest Arctic, please give me a call and I’ll do my best to make it happen for you!
